EASSentry
EASSentry is software that permits a computer to
capture the text from the printer output of an EAS decoder and store it on the
computer's hard drive and send the message text by email. Connect a cable from
the serial printer output of the EAS decoder to the serial connection of a
computer and install EASSentry on the computer.
When an alert is sent to the computer it is saved in a "weekly" file and the
text of the alert message may be forwarded to anyone via email. EASSentry can
forward all alerts to recipients or only selected alerts. EASSentry can
forward alerts at all times or only selected times to recipients. Only the
text of the message is sent to reduce the length of message sent to cell phones
as a text message.
